New EPA Requirement Forces CSCD Service Line Inventory
The Flint, Michigan lead catastrophe had ripple effects throughout the drinking water industry. In its wake, the EPA has become quite stringent on getting the lead out of the ground in America’s public water supplies. This led to the Lead & Copper Revised Rule, or LCRR.
Scuba Diving Rules

- Certified Scuba divers will obey Indiana State regulations. Divers will be permitted to dive in the idle zones at any time.
- Diving will be permitted in the main waters during the yellow light period only.
- A diving flag must be displayed while a diver is in the water as per regulations.
- Night divers must use underwater lights.
- Special Use Permit for other diving activity must be obtained prior to the event.

Here is the Zebra Mussel Awareness Course: www.sites.google.com/view/cscdboat ! This Course Completion Certificate will be required to obtain your 2022-2024 boat decals and beach pass. There is a video or text option available. This course works best on a computer, laptop, iPad, or similar device. If you have any questions please call the CSCD office at 317-933-2893.
Special Assessment

The "ditch assessment" is the state's term for equal assessment. That is the $269 equal Freehold assessment created by Resolution 2020-9 and 2020-12, both available on the website www.cscd-in.org. Indiana has some strange terms, very similar to a Conservancy District, which isn't really to "conserve" anything, just the term used for special taxing district.
